BEAUTY & BARBERING CAREER PATHWAY
TNN Beauty partners with high schools and youth programs to introduce students to careers in barbering, cosmetology, and the beauty industry.
Through our 100-hour hands-on bootcamp model, students can begin learning basic industry skills in a structured after-school program before applying for apprenticeship.
PROGRAM MODEL
The high school bootcamp may be offered after school for approximately 3 hours per day, 1 day per week, until students complete 100 hours of career preparation training.
Students may be introduced to beginner-level skills such as:
- Safety and sanitation
- Professional image and workplace readiness
- Basic haircutting
- Hairstyling and blow-drying
- Haircolor introduction
- Chemical service preparation
- Basic skincare and facials
- Basic nail care
- Barbering and shaving preparation
- Client communication
- Career readiness and professionalism
PATHWAY AFTER COMPLETION
After completing the 100-hour bootcamp, students may continue their pathway by completing the required online Pre-Apprenticeship Training Course through the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
Once students receive their Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion and meet program requirements, they may apply to enroll in TNN Beauty’s Barber or Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program.
This pathway helps students explore the industry, build confidence, develop basic hands-on skills, and prepare for future apprenticeship training in a licensed salon or barbershop.

TNN Beauty welcomes opportunities to partner with school districts, high schools, after-school programs, youth programs, and workforce partners interested in bringing beauty and barbering career training to students.
